Role Summary:
The Proposal Specialist will work in partnership with the Proposal Specialist and will be responsible for providing support to the Ontario Corporate Sales team by assisting in the development of new business proposals, finalist presentations and sales related initiatives that focus on new business and retention.
As a Proposal Specialist your key responsibilities will include:
  • Liase with Account Executive team in creating and writing the supporting tactical proposal materials for Ontario audiences.
  • Support custom client communications (develop strategies/plans/concepts, write content, maintain materials) for our clients.
  • Work in tandem with Account Executives to support finalist presentations including: developing and revising templates, sourcing imagery or reviewing sourced imagery, editing contributed material for flow and consistency.
  • Contribute to the ‘Request for Proposal’ process including gathering relevant information, verifying requests with contributing internal parties (i.e., case management, health and dental) to ensure we have accurately captured requests.
  • Ensure that data gathered during the proposal process is accurate, up-to-date and delivered in a concise and timely manner.
  • Manage related administrative tasks as required (i.e., printing, binding, logging, etc.).
As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits Products an asset;
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint and Word;
  • Previous experience with reviewing and editing proposals and creating PowerPoint presentations a definite asset;
  • Previous experience working in a deadline driven, sales support environment a definite asset;
  • Degree or diploma in business, marketing or communications.
Other Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to set priorities, meet goals, work independently and contribute to a team effort;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must;
  • Effective problem solving, internal customer service and time management skills;
  • Strong technical aptitude a must;
  • Exceptionally organized with an acute attention to detail.
