The Trainer is primarily responsible for the training delivery to new and existing employees. He/she assists with the design, development and the organization of the various training modules. He/she maintains records of training activities and employee progress through testing and evaluation and shares results with internal stakeholders. He/she must have high attention to detail and use a positive and creative approach to the facilitation of training in the classroom and through virtual and web-based learning. He/she must be willing and able to travel to all Medavie Blue Cross Locations and / or the regional offices for the Blue Cross plans. He/she must be willing and able to travel to all Medavie Blue Cross Locations and / or the regional offices for the Blue Cross plans for extended periods of time (ie: 2-4 weeks), and facilitate training outside of regular business hours (ie: 12:00pm – 8:00pm) as mandated by business needs.
As a Trainer your Key Responsibilities will include:
As the ideal candidate, you possess the following Qualifications:
Education: College diploma or equivalent and / or have a background in a leadership or training environment
Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant training and facilitation experience through classroom, on-line, virtual and web-based methodologies with a solid understanding of the health and life insurance industry
Other Qualifications: Working knowledge of the different claims and adjudication systems used by our internal colleagues (ie: Scepter, ES, POS, MS, etc.) as well as a working knowledge in Claims and/or Contact Centre is considered a strong asset for this position
Computer Skills: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products and online tools for the development of training curriculum as well as training and authoring tools with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
Language Skills: Bilingualism (French and English) would be considered an asset for this position.

Execution and Organizational Skills: Is organized and has excellent time management skills with the ability to establish and manage priorities and effectively copes with change
Team Work Skills: Easily gains trust and support of peers, encourages collaboration and is composed. Seeks and is receptive to feedback and enjoys working with people both as part of a team and one-on-one
