Role Summary:

The Program Support Office Administrator plays a key role in the management of Key Initiatives currently being delivered at Medavie Blue Cross.

In this role you will be responsible to manage and perform some of the day to day administrative duties for the Program Manager as well as other Leaders within the related projects.

As the PSO Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Time Tracking - Validation of time entered and follow-ups (Quality Control)
  • Ad Hoc Update to Project logs, QA and chasing down of information
  • Compare Time Entered in two separate time tracking systems
  • Coordinate cross project/program links
  • Perform Administrative work - respond to queries, take care of supplies, book meetings, update e-mail groups, preparation of orientation packages, assist team with administrative requests, etc.
  • Other duties as defined from time to time

As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:

Education: Business diploma or certificate and/or relevant working experience.

Work Experience
: 3-5 years experience in a business environment in a similar role as well as experience working in an IT project environment would be considered an asset.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Computer Skills: Proficient experience and skills using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Language Skills: Bilingualism would be considered an asset.

You also demonstrate the following core competencies:

Knowledge: Seasoned broad business knowledge, prior insurance and/or IT project experience an asset.

Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills; solve problems independently; understand process and procedures as they relate to your role.

Communication Skills: Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

Customer Orientation:
Strong customer service focus, excellent attitude, professional demeanour; demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate needs; demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions within established parameters.

Execution and Organizational Skills
:  Possesses superior organizational skills along with high attention to detail; good project management skills, able to coordinate and lead a variety of initiatives; able to multi-task to accomplish a multitude of tasks with conflicting priorities and timelines.

Teamwork
: Demonstrated team player and gets along well with others.
