Role Summary:

Applications are now being invited for the position of Bilingual Quality Assurance Analyst. As a member of this team, you will evaluate new and re-issued contracts, booklets and amendments based on current processes and standards.  You will be responsible for maintaining and providing statistical and written results on the documents quality assured.  Significant emphasis is placed on accuracy and in order to facilitate the changing needs of our customers, an innovative and forward thinking mannerism is an essential characteristic in this position. 

As a Bilingual Quality Assurance Analyst your key responsibilities will include:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize your workload;
  • Analyze quality assurance results to identify and report on trends and training requirements;
  • Work independently and as a team player;
  • Perform with exceptional attention to detail and able to analyze processes and requests to ensure Quality at Source is being met and/or surpassed;
  • Develop and maintain expertise on customer expectations regarding quality performance;
  • Perform quality assurance audits on all benefit management requests based upon specific quality assurance standards;
  • Create and perform queries for the purpose of analyzing the results in order to provide feedback on the quality assurance and efficiency of the unit as a whole;
  • Monitor and coordinate with the members of the business area to ensure all current practices and processes are adhered to in a professional comprehensive manner;
  • Report on the results, highlight anomalies, propose solutions and send the information within established deadlines;
  • Collaborate in the development and updating of methods and procedures for quality assurance-related activities and ;
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and spoken;

As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:

Education/Knowledge:  Certification or Diploma from a recognized post-secondary education program, Background in health and life insurance contracts with the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of achievement.

Work Experience:  5 years relevant work experience

Analytical/Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail;

Communication: Proven communications skills providing team members with feedback on the results from their audits;

Customer Orientation: Ability to build constructive and effective relationships;

Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact well in a team environment.

Language Skills:   Bilingualism (English and French) for this position is required.

Other Qualifications: Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize workload and set priorities, working quickly and accurately under the pressure of established deadlines; a positive attitude and able to work and relate well in a team environment and build effective relationships with internal contacts; and ability to analyze documentation in order to identify trends; good interpersonal and active listening skills and the ability to work well independently and as a team player.

You also demonstrate the following Core Competencies:

Knowledge: Background in health and life insurance contracts with the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of achievement.  Has a broad understanding of how Medavie Blue Cross works

Analytical Thinking:  High attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential in order to analyze the quality/accuracy of documentation. Analyze the results of quality assurance reviews in order to identify key issues and give recommendations for solutions; the ability to develop new ideas to enhance the productivity and quality of the business area and use logic to solve problems with effective solutions. Has a high level of accountability.

Communication Skills:  Strong oral and written communication skills, tailoring information and delivery to suit the nature of the situation; good interpersonal and active listening skills and the ability to obtain, explain and document detailed information.

Execution and Organizational Skills:   Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize workload and set priorities and work quickly and accurately under the pressure of established deadlines.

Team Work Skills:  Demonstrates an understanding of how the job contributes to the overall success of Medavie Blue Cross. Adapts easily to changes within the work environment. Has the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Self-directed and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
