Role Summary:
The Client Service Representative works closely with an Account Executive and interacts extensively with other operational areas within Medavie Blue Cross to support the sale and retention of corporate (large) group insurance plans.  As a member of the Corporate Client Service Team the Client Service Representative is involved in all aspects of the group sales process including group quotations, set up, renewal and service.  The position involves frequent contact with external customers, including Consultants and Groups;  success in this role demands a dual focus between accuracy and attention to detail  in performing adminsitrative functions, and strong commitment to customer service, building solid business relationships with customers; working collaboratively with numerous internal contacts to maintain service standards.   
As a Client Service Representative your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manages multiple inquiries from various levels of authority, including complex service inquiries of an urgent nature, coordinates resolution of escalated service concerns and communicates results to the customer;
  • Coordinates with Group Administation the installation for new group;
  • Involved in account management at all stages of group cycle: quotes, enrolment, amendments, service and renewals;
  • Required to participate in trade shows, wellness fairs, employee orientation sessions and finalist presentations for potential new clients; and
  • Leads/assist in best practice projects as a subject matter expert.
As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in related field or equivalent work experience;
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience;
  • An understanding of group health, dental, life and disability benefits;
  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry;
  • Having or working towards an insurance designation is considered an asset (LOMA, CEBS (GBA), ICA, etc.);
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes; and
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
